Course description

Often therapists need to provide play therapy services in-home or at school depending on the needs of the population being served or the nature of the services. This 2 hour webinar will address ways to apply play therapy principles ethically and create a therapeutic experience for the child client in a variety of settings outside of the traditional office setting.

Learning Objectives:

  • Participants will have opportunity to explore the pros and cons of providing play therapy services in home and school settings including reviewing a list of cautionary considerations for which to prepare.
  • Participants will examine the ethical code sections for counselors, social workers and marriage and family therapists that may be applicable when providing play therapy in home and school settings.
  • Participants will learn practical ways to create a therapeutic experience in alternative settings for play therapy.
