Course Description:

Understanding the ethics of mental health services is vital to offering quality care for your clients. When working with children, ethical considerations need to be revisited and re-envisioned to meet the needs of the culture of childhood. Working with children offers its own set of challenges, and as a play therapist, it is important that you educate yourself to prepare for possible ethical dilemmas. In this course, you will learn about ethical considerations play therapists should prepare for, gain an understanding of Virginia Axline's 8 Basic Principles and how they apply to ethics in play therapy, and you will explore the steps you should take to ensure that you are offering the best play therapy services you can for your community.
