** In order to sign up for this course, you need to have successfully completed and passed the FirstPlay Kinesthetic Storytelling® Level 1: Foundations Course**
18 hours of training, 15.5 APT non-contact hours of recorded training (12 hours skills/methods and 6 hour special topics) and 2.5 Hours of live Individual Reflective consultation.
In Level 2 of the FirstPlay Kinesthetic Storytelling® training, we build upon the foundations and skills learned in Level 1. In this attachment-based play therapy model, practitioners learn the ingredients of therapeutic metaphoric storytelling with foundations in the work of Milton Erickson and how this is combined to include a kinesthetic and multi-sensory component to the therapeutic story process. During this training, practitioners are provided with and learn eight “Ready-Made” kinesthetic stories. Seven of these stories are exclusive to practitioners who take the course and are not currently available for purchase through any other source.
Level II: Includes two (2) Individual Consultation Sessions for a total of 2.5 Hours (the cost of the consultation sessions are included in the course fee). The first consultation will take place after the student has completed the modules up to and including the Magic Rainbow Hug. The student will then contact Dr. Courtney to schedule a date/time for a consultation call. During this call, the student will be required to submit a demonstration video of them completing the Magic Rainbow Hug with a volunteer.
Upon completion of the remaining modules in Level Two, the second consultation session can be scheduled directly with Dr. Courtney. During this session, the student is expected to submit a video session in which a Ready-Made Story was practiced with a pair of volunteers (one acting as a parent and another acting as a child).
