This online training is led by Lynn Louise Wonders, LPC, RPT-S, CPCS of Wonders Counseling Services, LLC (APT Approved Provider 12-321) and provides 2 hours of CONTACT play therapy training and 2 NBCC CE hours. There will be a maximum of 40 participants and all participants must have their camera on and name clearly displayed the entire 2 hours, which means your image will be visible to the other participants. Participants will be required to complete the online quiz immediately upon conclusion of the webinar presentation in order to receive credit for contact hours.

Description: 

Often conflict between parents and other difficult circumstances during or after divorce can lead to challenges for children’s ability to have healthy and meaningful connection. This 2 hour live online training webinar will provide therapists an interactive training opportunity to learn how to facilitate healthy, meaningful connection between parents and children when parents are separated, going through divorce or divorced and living in separate homes.  This course will meet via Zoom link from 11am Eastern - 1pm Eastern Time. The link to the zoom meeting is provided within the course shell and will be emailed to you 24 hrs prior to the live session. 

1 hour of seminal theory training and 1 hour of training in play therapy interventions.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this training participants will be prepared to. . .

1. Name 3 seminal theories that serve to inform treatment planning when attending to parent-child relationships when there is a divorce situation for a family.
2. List 4 specific challenges in divorce related cases observed during the play therapy process when seeking to facilitate a healthy and meaningful connection between parent and child.
3. List 10 play therapy interventions to facilitate healthy and meaningful connections for parent and child when there is a divorce.
4. Apply theoretical basis and interventions to a fictional case scenario in effort to formulate the treatment plan.
