To listen to each other, to really listen, is to redeem the best in ourselves so we can learn to write a new story for how to fully and beautifully show up for ourselves internally and in the world.

Description:

Children (and their parents) are faced with enormous challenges right now in terms of managing their emotions and finding a sheltered, calm internal space in the midst of family and school changes and demands. Teaching and developing mindful engagement through the lens of building a special island in their imagination, anchored by drawings and reflection, will enhance their internal resources and mastery of self-calming and regulatory skills. This workshop will teach participants to engage their clients and parents in developing a passage to a special island adventure that is under the child’s direct control, strengthening and protecting their ability to cope with these challenges and disruptions to their in daily life.
