This online training is led by Lynn Louise Wonders, LPC, RPT-S, CPCS of Wonders Counseling Services, LLC (APT Approved Provider 12-321) and provides 2 hours of Non-Contact play therapy training and 2 NBCC CE hours. There will be a maximum of 40 participants and all participants must have their camera on and name clearly displayed the entire 2 hours, which means your image will be visible to the other participants. Participants will be required to complete the online quiz immediately upon conclusion of the webinar presentation in order to receive credit for contact hours.

Description: 

This 2 hour recorded online training webinar will provide therapists an overview of the nature of directive play therapy along with theoretical foundations and specific interventions and techniques for implementation as part of a goal directed play therapy treatment plan. This course will meet via Zoom link from 11am Eastern - 1pm Eastern Time.  The link to the zoom meeting is provided within the course shell and will be emailed to you 24 hours prior to the live session. 

This training provides 0.5 hour of training on the special topic of alienation and 1.5 hours of play therapy interventions and techniques.

1. Describe how directive play therapy differs from child-centered play therapy.
2. Name 5 clinical reasons a therapist might use directive play therapy techniques.
3. List 20 directive play therapy interventions appropriate for the process of navigating parental alienation
4. Identify 5 appropriate directive play therapy techniques to the play therapy treatment plan in a case scenario.
