Instructor Clair Mellenthin, PhD, LCSW, RPT-S

Clair Mellenthin, PhD, LCSW, RPT-S holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California. Throughout her career, she has focused on providing play therapy to children, teens, and their families. She is currently the Director of Child & Adolescents at Wasatch Family Therapy.Ms. Mellenthin is a sought after supervisor, training graduate students and interns in play therapy, and an adjunct faculty member at the University of Southern California MSW program. She is the Past-President of the Utah Association For Play Therapy and remains an active member on the Board of Directors. She is the author of Attachment Centered Play Therapy, My Many Colors of Me Workbook.

Instructor Jodi Mullen, PhD, LMHC, NCC, RPT-S, CCPT-Master

Dr. Jodi Mullen is a professor at SUNY Oswego in the Counseling & Psychological Services Department. She primarily teaches in the Mental Health Counseling Program. She is the director of Integrative Counseling Services, with several offices in Central New York. Dr. Mullen is an international speaker, author, credentialed play therapist and play therapy supervisor. Dr. Mullen has over 30 years in the field of counseling. She has authored books on play therapy, counseling children and adolescents, supervision, grief counseling and parenting. Dr. Mullen was the 2008 recipient of the Key Award for Professional Training & Education through the Association for Play Therapy. She is the proud Momma of Leah & Andrew.

Instructor Robert Jason Grant, EdD, M.S., LPC, NCC, RPT-S

I hold a Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership, Master’s Degree in Counseling, and Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor. I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and families, primarily serving neurodivergent children (autism, ADHD, sensory differences, learning disorders, and developmental disabilities). I am the creator of AutPlay® Therapy, an integrative family play therapy framework designed to help address the mental health needs of neurodivergent children and adolescents. I am also trauma informed and trained and utilize EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). I utilize several years of advanced training and my own lived neurodivergent experience to work with children and their families. I have infused my experience and love for education and mental health care to create training programs for professionals and caregivers. I am an international trainer and keynote presenter having presented for the American Counseling Association, Association for Play Therapy, American Mental Health Counselors Association, and The World Autism Congress. Instructor Jessica Stone, PhD, RPT-S

Jessica Stone, Ph.D., RPT-S, is a licensed psychologist working in a private practice setting. She has been a practitioner, professor, presenter, mentor, and author for more than 30 years. Dr. Stone’s interest in therapeutic digital tools, specifically using virtual reality, tablets, consoles, and AI has culminated in clinical mental health use and research for mental health, medical, and crisis settings. She is the co-creator of the Virtual Sandtray App for iPad (VSA) and the Virtual Sandtray for Virtual Reality (VSA-VR). Dr. Stone is the past Chief Psychology Officer for AscendantVR, is a member of various boards, and serves as an affiliate of the East Carolina University College of Education Neurocognition Science Laboratory.

Instructor Robyn Reyna, LPC-S, RPT-S

Robyn Reyna is a Licensed Professional Counselor – Supervisor and a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor ™ in Houston, Texas. She is also certified in AutPlay® and is working on a certification in Synergetic Play Therapy as of 2024. She is the founder of Calming Communities Counseling & Wellness, PLLC, an affirming family therapy agency focused on connecting parents, teachers, and kids with a deeper understanding of the neuroscience behind mental health to help our community raise confident, capable, and connected children. Robyn has been providing play therapy for ten years and play therapy trainings for more than seven years, and has presented locally, nationally, and internationally. Robyn’s trainings focus on Adlerian play therapy, neuroaffirming play therapy, and neuroscience-based parenting strategies. Finally, Robyn is a published author of several children’s books focused on child mental health and social navigation topics. She has also published in APT’s Play Today Magazine, several scientific journals, Dr. Grant’s Play Interventions for Neurodivergent Children and Adolescents and Liana Lowenstein’s Assessment and Treatment Activities for Children, Adolescents, and Families.

Instructor Ashley Lawton, MS, LMHC, NCC, RPT-S, CCPT-S

Ashley Lawton MS, LMHC, NCC, RPT-S, CCPT-S is the Director at Integrative Counseling Services. She has several post graduate certifications in working with children using Play Therapy and additional training in working with traumatized populations. Ashley has presented on various Play Therapy topics, often relating to grief and loss. She is a board member of Friends of Hospice in Oswego County. At Integrative Counseling Services Ashley provides counseling to adolescents and young adults, as well as Play Therapy to children. When not working Ashley enjoys spending time with her two children, being outdoors, and can often be found with a good book.
